Until Justice Just Is

YWCA’s Until Justice Just Is (formerly Stand Against Racism) is a national movement advancing justice for all. During the month of April 2024, YWCAs across the United States will be hosting a series of events to help raise awareness and to promote justice within our local communities.

Join us on April 26th, 2024, at 11am at the Marriott Palm Beach Gardens, 4000 RCA Blvd, Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

The theme for this year’s event is “Building the Next Generation of Equity Among Youth”. Our goal is to facilitate conversations with youth, community members, and elected leaders on cultivating and promoting a more equitable and inclusive community with greater intentionality for youth. Join us as we identify issues and potential solutions that build bridges to success for Palm Beach County youth. Our program will feature youth participation from YWCA's Youth Empowerment Program, Pace Center for Girls, and Vita Nova; a dynamic panel of local community leaders and experts; and the awarding of this year's honoree of the Dorothy Height Social Justice Award.

Each Year, the YWCA of Palm Beach County recognizes an individual, group of individuals, business, or program that seeks to level social and racial injustice in Palm Beach County. The award, named for the iconic civil rights revolutionary Dorothy Height, is specifically for an honoree who embodies our mission with the same passion and zeal as Ms. Height. Height is openly acknowledged as the first person and woman who was a leader during the civil rights movement to recognize inequality for women and African-Americans concurrently, as the two concerns had been viewed separately prior to Height’s revitalization. For the majority of her time as an equal rights advocate, Height specifically focused on the issues of African-American women, including unemployment, illiteracy, and voter awareness.
